MFS World Meet
October 9-11, 2024
Let’s show the world what Mixed Formation Skydiving is all about! The MFS Open Championships will be held October 9-11th at Crystal Coast Skydiving in Beaufort, NC alongside the FAI World Parachuting Championships as an exhibition event.
Qualifications
Any team that is prepared to jump the open dive pool is eligible to participate.
This is NOT an official FAI sanctioned event.
SCHEDULE
October 5 at 5:00pm- FAI World Championships Opening Ceremony (attendance optional)
October 8 at 5:00am- Registration Closes
October 9 at 9:00am- Competitor Meeting and Draw Released
October 9 at 1:00pm- Competition Jumps begin*
October 11 at 3:00pm- Last Competition take off time
October 11 at 7:00pm- Awards, Closing Ceremony, and Banquet (for MFS and FAI)
*Jump start time subject to change based on FAI event progress. FAI will remain priority for athletes registered for both events

Competitor entry fees include all competition costs (jumps, jump offs, re-jumps), lunch on days of competition jumping (October 9-11), FAI Opening Ceremony (optional), Awards and Closing Ceremonies, banquet dinner, and a competitor gift.
$629 per person
$490 for those registered for any FAI event ($100 + competition jumps)
Registration closes October 5 for new competitors and October 9 for FAI competitors completing this as an additional event, allowing them to make a decision on-site.

Drop zone briefing and location information will be the same as for the FAI World Championships.

pre-event jumping
There will be one twin otter available for training September 29th with limited dropzone amenities and three otters available with full dropzone set-up beginning October 1 for pre-event training.
MFS practice jumps will be limited October 4-5 due to the beginning of the FAI World Championships with official practice jumps for all disciplines. On October 6, 7, and 8, during the official FAI competition MFS practice jumps will be available on a twin otter between competition loads except in the case of significant weather delays that will require increased FAI lift capacity.
The jump pricing for pre-event training jumps will be:

Beach Jumps
Crystal Coast Skydiving will be offering skydives landing onto Pine Knoll Shores beach next to Molly’s Beachside Bar & Grill for drinks and food on Saturday, October 12 for interested licensed skydivers after the official event conclusion.
Jumps will be $80 and include transportation from the beach back to the drop zone, about a 19 minute drive.
Jumpers will be able register on-site any time before October 12.

Skydive Chicago is home to the 2016 Mondial World Championships as well as several world records, USPA Nationals competitions, and international festivals with experienced management and staff. Skydive Paraclete XP also has a long list of experience hosting large-scale records, competitions, and events. The Organizing Committee made up from these two dropzones will ensure an incredible experience for all participants at the unique location of Crystal Coast Skydiving.

The use of a helmet and AADs are required. All reserve parachute systems approved by the FAA will be subjected to a 180 reserve repack cycle by an FAA-certified rigger.
